W’s Story

W first connected with Lake City Partners at one of our 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀, seeking resources and a safe place to stay. He joined us during our Winter Shelter season and stayed every night we were open. When the season ended, LCP helped him transition into Aurora Oaks Enhanced Shelter, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.

Over the next few months, our case management team walked alongside W, exploring housing options, making calls to landlords, and helping with applications. We saw his hope begin to grow with each successful step he took towards housing.

Then came the call he had been waiting years for: “𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆.” In just a matter of days, W packed up and moved into his new home! Thank you to Seattle Housing Authority for making this connection.

We’re so grateful to have been part of W’s journey and couldn’t be happier to see him begin this next chapter. Congratulations, W! Welcome home!
