Aurora Oaks Exterior

Aurora Oaks Enhanced Shelter is the highest-performing enhanced shelter in King County, with a 99% shelter bed utilization rate. Our dignity-first model offers private rooms and an extended-stay period, giving clients the opportunity to stabilize over a period of months, not days, while our Enhanced Client Services team assists them with their journey to Permanent Supportive Housing. The results are a 122% annual housing placement rate (2024).

At Aurora Oaks, clients learn to reconnect to the idea of safety: of having their own room, that their possessions will still exist when they return, and that they can think beyond a minute-by-minute or day-to-day existence. This time and space allows our Client Services team to build relationships with the clients sufficient to complete a 35-50 page application packet to access Permanent Supportive Housing and allows us to help our clients access other basic, necessary documentation and address healthcare issues, all things that are usually a vital part of helping individuals stabilize after they have been unhoused for an extended period of time.

Thanks to Lake City’s Partners’ commitment to reducing the disproportionate impacts of racism, in 2024 intake data for Aurora Oaks closely matched with the demographics for King County’s most recent Point in Time demographics. Please contact office@lakecitypartners.org for more information.
