About the Winter Shelter
From November to March, 30 guests are welcomed nightly in a different hosting congregation every month. Trained staff at the shelter encourage guests to consider next steps toward housing. Housing case management, hot meals, bus tickets to access God’s Li’l Acre day center, and referrals to other services are provided, along with companionship and care. King County and the Cities of Seattle, Shoreline, Bothell, Kenmore and private donors all contribute funding to this effort. Over 600 community volunteers help make this program a success.
